Brochures for the Festival are in the store now!

Authors Dan Werb and Nadja Lubiw-Hazard explore the complex connections between humans and the animal kingdom.

Werb, a Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize winner, draws on his background in epidemiology to uncover the hidden lives of urban synanthropes—the rabbits, squirrels, and foxes that roam our city streets—in Our Wild Familiars. Meanwhile, fiction serves as the vehicle for real-life veterinarian Lubiw-Hazard whose debut story collection, The Life of a Creature, reveals how our fellow creatures help us navigate shared environments, love, loss, and healing.

This Authors Onstage event takes place on Saturday, October 3 at 8:30AM. Register now to secure your spot: https://www.kingstonwritersfest.ca/familiar-creatures/
