We had a lovely visit with this couple from Maryland who were waiting for the tidal bore . They were surprised to find that it wouldn't be a big wall of water coming up the bay , but were still game to go up to the wharf to check it out . 😀
There are lots of sights to see along the 215 Hwy . Burntcoat Head Park , Anthony Park and Walton Lighthouse are just within a short drive .

Happy Family Day !!! 🥳
We not only support local artisans , but we also carry items which raise funds for local charities like the Maitland Cemetery and the The East Hants Historical Society . These items are not charged a vendor commission , so the whole amount can be donated . Thanks to the volunteers who make these items .
Volunteers make the world go around ! 👏

AJ would like to thank John for her Thursday morning coffee deliveries and for the interesting story about an Indie movie called " The Golden Spurtle" . He left as a happy customer with spurtle in hand from The Spoonery Woodenware & Needful Things and some cards from Coral Birch Creative .

Are you making this a long weekend ? Why not travel down the 215 and take in the local sights ? First stop should be the Fundy Tidal Interpretive Centre for tourist info , a walk along their trail or a fabulous view from the observation deck . Stop in to Frieze and Roy's Mudslide Cafe for a bite of lunch . Drop in to Dawson Dowell Park where you will find us at "The Shop " , as well as lovely park facilities like a picnic gazebo ,playground and clean washrooms all maintained by the Municipality of East Hants . Take a relaxing walk to the wharf behind us .
