A year ago yesterday, on August 9th, we said goodbye to our beloved artist, mentor, and friend, Ivan Wheale. For so many years, Ivan captured the spirit and soul of Northern Ontario through his paintings. His remarkable vision lives on in the collection of his work still held at Perivale Gallery, a lasting testament to the places he loved and the landscapes he saw so beautifully. But the time has come to say goodbye to this collection as well.
At the end of August, any remaining works by Ivan will leave Perivale Gallery and be distributed through his estate.
There are just two weeks remaining to spend time with Ivan’s paintings at the Gallery and perhaps bring a piece of his Northern vision home with you. https://www.perivalegallery.com/ivan-wheale/

There’s something truly special happening at Perivale Gallery. 💕

Sharing the walls are Ivan Wheale’s final collection and Jay Favot’s newest releases—a pairing that feels both poignant and meant to be. Years ago, as a young boy, Jay wandered through one of Ivan’s exhibitions, captivated by the paintings of an artist who would leave a lasting impression on him.

Today, their work hangs together in the same gallery space. One artist sharing his final collection, the other continuing to inspire a new generation.
