Today was a special day, I walked in ancestoral footsteps at the 150th anniversary of the signing of Treaty Six at Fort Carlton. The original parchment the Queen and Chiefs signed is on display for the event. My ancestral uncle Chief Ay-yah-tus-kum-ik-im-am signed Twatt First Nation now Sturgeon Lake FN into Treaty. For those of you who didnt know, I am a Twatt! 🤣 and a proud one at that ! The day was full of celebration with many Nations there to mark the events. The event is for everyone, a celebration of togetherness, if you can. try to attend. It is on all weekend !
