In a wee little basement in the home of Christina Marcano. Christina started in the clothing business over ten years ago when she co-founded an active wear company called Skyler Clothing. Skyler grew quickly and by 2008 they had three stores over two-hundred wholesale accounts and regular appearances on the Shopping Channel and then…the recession hit. The company started to spiral out of control a

nd as a last ditch effort Christina went to pitch her case on CBC’s the Dragons Den. The response was phenomenal. She received an outpouring of support but after a bit of soul searching she realized Skyler wasn’t her true dream. She closed Skyler down and headed back to her basement where she got to work building her true dream - Silver Icing. An amazing brand that offers comfy chic clothing that won’t break the bank. In 2013 Silver Icing launched and is now a thriving online shop with a network of independent stylists. As a young mom, Christina knew how important a work life balance is. She was tired of driving 2 hours a day back and forth from work. She loved being able to make her kids lunch or take them to a park on a sunny afternoon. Being a stay at home working mom was exactly what her family needed and it is from this experience that she committed to building a company that other moms and women could be a part of. Her greater vision is to provide women with the option to balance life and work by having the opportunity to work from home during hours that don’t disrupt the family lifestyle. Becoming an Online Stylist does just that. It is the best of both worlds, everything is online so you can commit as much or as little as you like. Linden's Kids Outdoorsy Jacket Review: Linden is wearing his true size 11/12, and it's a perfect fit. Roomy enough to fit a sweater or to grow into a little, without looking too big. He loved wearing it and said he felt warm and comfy!

Ashton's Kids Outdoorsy Jacket Review: Ashton is 12 and is wearing the size 11/12. It fit him great. He could have gone with the 13/14 to get more wear out of it as he will likely grow a lot this next year! He liked the zipper functionality and the fact that it had pockets. Kim's Pump It Up Heels Review: Oh my lanta, these heels are everything!!! They're so comfy and come in such fun colours! Perfect for holiday and dress wear! I will say I am wearing my true size 8 but found them a little too snug. I think because I have wider feet too. I will size up to 8.5 in these. They're not super high which makes them quite comfortable!

Allison's Pump It Up Heels Review: Omg, these heels are everything! They are a classic pump that will literally elevate any outfit! Jeans, dresses, dress pants - it does it all! They have a nice and cushioned sole which makes them very comfortable to wear! The heel adds a bit of height, but doesn't feel daunting and is still easy to walk in. I am wearing a size 8 and this is the size I will purchase!

Kim's Weekday Pocket Blazer Review: This is hands down my favourite blazer! When we designed this, we wanted to give you the look of a blazer but the comfort to go along with it that is so darn hard to find these days! Hence, our most popular blazer of all time; the Weekday Pocket Blazer! If you don't own this blazer, it's beyond comfortable! So stretchy, the material is medium weight and soft, the collar stays put and... POCKETS!! There are tons of IRL's of these on the app so go ahead and check those out too. It has a classic poly-like feel but the stretch of something almost athletic. But it's a cute dressy blazer with pockets, it's incredible! I love the fit of the size small in this, it's perfect. Because this is open closure, I don't need to worry about it needing to close or anything.

Kim's Lounge Arund Joggers Review: I love these joggers! I own them from the first launch and feel the only difference is the material is slightly silkier inside! Nonetheless, I love them! Pocktes, drawstring, stretchy waistband, cute jogger cuff... I honestly wear them with a white Mid Range Tee and sneakers out sometimes too! I am wearing the size small but prefer a looser jogger style look, especially to lounge in so I will opt for a medium in these!

Allison's Pure Comfort Cardigan Review: I love this duster cardigan! This is the same cozy soft material that is perfect for lounging but since it's not a traditional robe, I feel like I may be able to get away with wearing it in my regular day-to-day life! Kim's Slip Into Casual Cardigan Review: One of my all time faves made into a cardi?! Say it ain't so!!! I am beyond in love with this piece. It's super lightweight and soft, with those famous suede-like elbow patches. The material is stretchy and feels very similar to the Slip Into Casual Sweatshirt, which was the light terry one. It will be perfect to keep on your office chair, classroom, in the car... The perfect little throw on layer! You will definitely get all year wear out of this as it will be perfect for early fall, with a scarf inside in the winter, with jeans in the spring and as a night time cover up in the summer!

What I love most is the fit. It's nice and relaxed in the sleeves, making it extremely comfortable. I can't stand tight sleeves but these were perfect in my true size small. All around amazing piece! PLUS POCKETS!

I found a body suit I LOVED a few months ago at a different store - since then I have been BEGGING Silver Icing to deliver a body suit that fits above size large (like actually begging lol, I post monthly on our suggestions page)
