D&M Radio Rave Selling restored radio's from the past,
D&M Radio Rave is behind it's time!

Instead of sleek, cutting edge stereo equipment, we prefer the unique look of vintage radios as well as the warm sound of vacuum tubes!

Another restoration finally off the bench! Up next is a Canadian General Electric model 412. We like it because of the sleek lines and that it really represents the atomic age 1954. I believe it was purchased at a local garage sale and was fairly bust up, we knew it wouldn’t be that hard of a fix.

Well we finally got at some of the radios we truly treasure. Up for the next restoration is a gorgeous American made Bendix 526C from 1946. We purchased this set along with 14 others from a collector in Mozart Sask. These Catalin cases are frickin wild 😍after wet sanding to get rid of the medium oxidation..then polished with Novus 2.! What a mix of greens, blues, grey's,whites and yellows! More pics to come!

Well here we are in 2025 and finally finished this gorgeous Crosley 11-117U from 1951. This model is nicknamed the "Serenader" or most often referred to as the "left hand Bullseye". This unit has been completely gone over, all wax caps changed out, all resistors checked to spec, all controls cleaned and lubed as well as an option added for Bluetooth so that you can stream your device through it. Just flip the switch on back to BT, turn on the included BT receiver and pair it with your device and listen to the beautiful sound of a tube amp streaming your music. This radio has been repainted in a close match to its original chartreuse color, and was recapped years ago by myself, we only added the Bluetooth lately.
It is for sale here for a week, this is to give our followers first dibs on it, if no buyers interested, we will then move it to local FB marketplace.
Selling for $220 with an included Bluetooth receiver, which we think is more than fair for the time spent on the restoration as well as owning a fine very collectable radio that will work great for another 50 years.
Shipping can be arranged, however a $20 flat rate packing charge will be added to the actual cost of shipping as the radio will be carefully double boxed so it arrives safely. local pu is preferred.

Latest restore is a Stewart Warner 07-511 from 1939. this radio was fairly bust up when I purchased it years ago (sorry no before pics).
I wanted to create the marble look like the tuning k**b has, this involves using an old kerosene lamp to "feather soot" onto the brown paint, then put a clear coat coating overtop. This procedure worked well on a yellow Sonora that I had restored in the past however this one didn't turn out quite as good as I would have liked.
The speaker is also trashed, however it still works but sounds terrible lol, we have to find either a new exact speaker for it or re-cone the old one.
An Aux 3.5 mm jack was added that allows for a bluetooth receiver to be connected so that you can stream your device through it.
Undecided if we want to sell this unit as is or just keep it.

Sorry we haven't posted in awhile. I still have complications from my neck surgery almost 2 years ago so haven't been restoring for months, Hopefully with more craniosacral therapy I will get more feeling back to my hands. Anyway the reason for the post is this very elusive set that I have been wanting for 22 years or so, it's called a Philco Boomerang! So art deco!

Well another restore done, This is a Stewart Warner Campus model 07-51 from 1939.
I Had originally restored this radio approx 15 yrs ago.
The bondo that I used on the repair of the top of the case was heaving and looked like crap.
I used JB weld to repair the hole on top as well as cracks, then followed through with the regular steps to paint and polish.
I have another Radio exactly like this that will be painted in a black and brown, which has bluetooth as well, stay tuned as that one will be posted here and is up for sale.
