Again, this morning. Another person in custody, which is great, but literally nothing will come of it. The last time my window was broken, the person was caught and charged but skipped their court date. So, out of the 3 windows that were broken, 2 people have been caught and charged, but 100% of the replacement costs have been out of pocket.

On top of this, none of this should be our issue. We were told months ago we would be let out of the lease but the landlord and his son/lawyer have ghosted my lawyer.

I am so tired and frustrated.

There are signs being placed on our windows with the permission of our landlord, but not with permission from us. We do not affiliate ourselves with any political entity.

Hello everyone!

The past couple of weeks have been busy to say the least. We’d like to thank everyone for their patience during this time especially when it comes to online orders!
Beginning next week, all orders come with 2 free vintage book buttons and will be processed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Due to increasing concern with the pandemic we ask that if possible, you choose the “local delivery” option at checkout so that we can limit in person contact.
Make sure to check our online store frequently as we’re still adding to our inventory during these days as well. We hope to see you all soon ♥️

Well, this sucks.

We don't want to close, and we will be back. We just don't know when. We are still in the process of getting out of our current lease, but with the landlord not picking up the demand letter sent via registered mail to the address listed on the lease (sent back in the first week of July), I can only assume he intends to drag this on for a while.

There are so many reasons why we are closing down, (landlord problems, increasing issues with downtown, the pandemic in general) yet at the same time, there's no single straw that broke the camel's back. With the pandemic, downtown, and landlord issues becoming worse by the day, we decided it is just time to step back and think hard about where and when we can find success again.

Thank you for having us, Medicine Hat. The support we received should have been able to sustain us through any one particular issue, but with everything piling up it is time to hibernate and emerge stronger than ever. Thank you for the support and the opportunity to do better.

Please use your gift cards and credit before our close date. We will keep all accounts active so that you may still order online or save your credit/gift card for our new location.

Keep an eye out. While this person was caught, she will likely be unable to pay the cost of replacing the window, so hopefully justice is achieved in the criminal courts. Thank you all for the kind words of support.

Have you met Ciao?!
In the mornings he can be found people watching from the top of the cat tree or following us around while we clean! Ciao is great with other cats as well as calm children and wants nothing more than to hang over your shoulder and be carried around all day♥️
