Today was the Community Wide Garage Sale here in Merrickville. Busy Day! I would’ve liked to have gone around, but I had a store to run. Thank you to everyone who dropped by today to shop or check in to say hello. We truly appreciate your business and support. Thank you to for helping me the night before and for keeping an eye out at the sales for me. (The day turned around and I survived.) If you watch to the end you will see proof that I did run at least once during the Merrickville Heritage Classic 2K on Saturday. I may not have been the fastest, but I tried and that’s what counts.

Spring Cleaning!

Just because the store is closed doesn’t mean I’m not working.

In this video I am cleaning and repairing a Louis Marx and Company tin lithography dollhouse from the early 1950s (along with its plastic furniture.)

Tin lithography was a popular printing/manufacturing process and if you love to learn I suggest Googling it. (Also look up the history of the toy manufacturer - Louis Marx and Company.)

Stay tuned to the end for a tour of the cleaned up house and the story of the person who lives there.
