Rainy day labeling and reclaiming my dining room table for the next project on the list. 😅
In case you missed it, Comox market is cancelled today due to the projected high winds this afternoon. We can suck it up for some rain, but tents hurtling through the fields is risky. ☔

Sorry friends, we won't see you in Comox tomorrow. 😭
If you would like to pick up an order I have eggs, sunflower bunches, potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini, garlic, kuri squash, gravenstein apples and some Italian plums here! I can also fresh pick some chard, kale, parsley, mint rosemary and chives for you if I won't blow away. 😅

***WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 2 MARKET CANCELLED***

Due to the expected high winds forecasted for tomorrow (Wednesday September 2) we have made the hard decision to CANCEL the market.

We don't make these decisions lightly. The safety of our vendors, customers and staff is our top priority. Although we are open rain or shine, there are some weather conditions where it is just not safe to stay open. Tomorrow is one of those days.

Don't worry though, we still have two more Wednesday markets (September 9 and 16) after tomorrow where you can get your mid-week local on.

Thanks for all your support. We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday!

It's seed saving time!
I brought home aaaalllll the tomato fest varieties so we can have seeds for next year's even bigger and better tomato fest.
Looking up every variety to make sure it's not an F1 hybrid. (It turns out a couple I tried saving last year may not have been true this year, because who remembers that 6 months later? 😬)
Most surprising? The big giant mortgage helper Tomato had very little pulp and seeds. Definitely would make good sauce.
I also was out in the garden today cutting down mustards, arugula, poppies, sweet peas and calendula for seeds!
