Scorch the Dragon Kids Painting Workshop

Get ready for a fiery morning of creativity at Event Horizon Hobbies!
Young artists will be guided step by step by Mary as they paint Scorch the Dragon, a bright and friendly dragon ready for an adventure. Each child can pick their dragon’s colour, making every Scorch completely unique.
No painting experience is needed. Just bring your imagination and get ready to create. Each child will leave with their own finished dragon masterpiece to proudly display at home.

Mini Masters Art Week
August 17-21

Let your child explore their creative side during Mini Masters Art Week at Event Horizon Hobbies!
Each day, kids will try a different art medium including watercolour, acrylic paint, pastels, mixed media, and messy expression art. They’ll learn beginner-friendly techniques, experiment with colours and textures, and create their own finished artwork each day to bring home.
One of the highlights of the week is Messy Masterpieces, where kids get to use their fingers, sponges, stamps, and fun everyday objects to create textured works of art.
This workshop is perfect for kids who love painting, crafting, experimenting, and getting creative.

$149.00(+HST) full week of activities (5 days)
$35.00(+HST) For Each Single day
Explore Watercolour, Acrylics, Pastels, Messy Art & More

Day 1: Watercolour Wonders
Kids learn soft colours, blending, and water effects.

Day 2: Acrylic Canvas Day
Kids paint a pre drawn canvas or create their own using an outline they draw or free paint.

Day 3: Pastel Power
Kids blend, smudge, and create colourful pastel artwork.

Day 4: Messy Masterpieces
Kids use their fingers, sponges, cotton balls, forks, stamps, cardboard, bubble wrap, and other fun tools to create textured art.

Day 5: Mini Art Gallery Day
Kids create their final masterpiece using their favourite medium from the week.

Ages: 6–14 (Children 10 and under require adult supervision)

Where do we even begin. 5 years of Event Horizon Hobbies. What started out as a small idea has grown into who we are today. Yesterday was a whirlwind of community, love, and support that we owe to every single person who has been with us! We also owe our biggest thanks and love to each and every member of this business for we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for this incredible team that we were able to muster together for one big photo for one of our biggest days.
The day was busy, and our hearts were full from everyone who joined us yesterday. Simply put. Thank you, everyone, for everything. We can not wait to show you what's next!

Tomorrow!
We are celebrating a 1 year anniversary with our Gundam TCG collection! As a thank you, we received this beautiful playing mat to celebrate the anniversary and we are excited to give it away to one of our players!!
