NASCAR Canada from CTMP
We came into the opening race weekend of the 2026 NASCAR Canada season with great anticipation. BCR had two cars competing: the #19 Bean Chevrolet and the #24 Akers Autoglass / OK Tire Lindsay / Cathcart Trucking Mustang.

Friday’s test sessions started off strong. Both cars passed tech, and we were making solid progress throughout the day. Unfortunately, during the second session, the #19 suffered an engine failure. Thanks to DJ for helping us secure another engine, and huge credit to the crew for staying late to complete the swap. Outstanding work by everyone involved!

Keith Bean posted his best lap time with the new motor, but only a few laps later he was involved in a crash just past Turn 2 that ended the weekend for the #19 team. Thankfully, Keith is OK, although understandably sore. We wish him a speedy recovery.

The #24 struggled to find speed all weekend. After numerous setup changes, we realized our best opportunity would come during long runs. With a lack of straight-line speed, Josh Hurley qualified 22nd — far from the result we were hoping for.

Sunday’s race turned into an unexpectedly exciting event. Strong strategy, a fast pit stop, and excellent driving by Josh on used tires moved us up front. Since our delta lap times on new tires were not great, we decided to gamble on running the race without a tire change.

Unfortunately, a late caution bunched up the field and left us vulnerable to competitors behind us on fresh rubber. We were still on track for a top-8 finish before a freak accident behind us collected the #24, ultimately leaving us scored in 15th position.

Josh Hurley To drive NASCAR Canada at CTMP

We are excited to confirm that Josh Hurley will return to pilot the #24 OK Tire / Acker Auto Glass / Cathcart Trucking Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Canada season opener at CTMP. Josh will join teammate Keith Bean as part of the two-car team for BC Race Cars Inc.

“I think I speak for everyone at BC Race Cars when I say I have waited all year for this! We had an incredible debut in the series last year, and now we are back together looking to top that run. I can’t wait for the green flag to drop at CTMP for NASCAR Canada,” said Josh.

“I am so excited to have Josh back. I think he is one of the most underrated drivers out there. We now have two more races under our belt in this series and have dramatically improved the car. He is the perfect driver/engineer to develop and showcase this new setup,” said owner Blaise Csida.

The race will take place May 17, 2026, at CTMP.

BC Race Cars Inc. is pleased to offer our #40 Mustang to qualified drivers for the upcoming CASC Pirelli GT Sprint Championship. The first race takes place May 9–10 at CTMP.

Over the winter, we completed several significant upgrades to the car, including the addition of a front splitter, rear wing, and a 4-speed G-Force GSR dog box transmission. Prior to these improvements, the car recorded a best lap time of 1:24 with Daniel Bois last season. With the recent upgrades, we anticipate lap times to be approximately 2 seconds faster.

Daniel described the car as "driving like a big Miata — easy and predictable." Telemetry, driver coaching, and onboard video are all included to help maximize performance.

For a car of this performance level, the pricing is very competitive.

Keith Bean to Drive NASCAR Canada for BCR

BC Race Cars Inc. is excited to announce our first confirmed driver for the NASCAR Canada series for all road course events in 2026: Keith Bean of Carleton Place, ON.

We met Keith when he purchased a TA2 Trans-Am Camaro from BCR a few years ago which he has successfully campaigned in local events at Calabogie as well as the Ontario Pirelli GT-1 championship.

“I am very pleased to be part of the BC Race Cars team for the 2026 NASCAR Canada road course events. Seeing talent like Blaise and his team—who have successfully competed in TA2 for many years—turn their efforts to NASCAR Canada says a lot about how far the series has evolved.
