Well, here we are, middle of August and things are heating up. Sturgeon fishing has really picked up in the last couple weeks and we re landing fish well into the 8ft. range. We ve been getting a few calls re. Fraser River Sockeye opening. The FN food fishery is open. The current counts are quite a bit under the expected. Are we going to get a sport fishing opening, given the existing returns, probably not. If the numbers pick up significantly, maybe.
If you're looking for a day on the water or thinking about a multiple day trip, let us know. We're about 3 or 4 weeks from targeting salmon in some of our local tributaries. Once we get some rain, things should only get better from here.
