Any Janome Continental M8 peeps out there (Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley area)? I have customer who is staying with her son for a couple of months....she couldn't bring her sewing machine with her, so her son bought her a Janome Continental M8! She is struggling learning how to use it on her own. She is looking for someone who has an M8 that she can pay to come to her son's home in Maple Ridge and spend a few hours with her and show her how to use the machine properly. She has been watching YouTube videos and that has helped, but she would really like to find someone who can sit beside her and walk her through some of the functions for a few hours. She is willing to pay $100 an hour for training.

Perfect example on why prewashing your fabrics is a good first step! Shrinkage is dealt with, but also washing out the excess dye is REALLY important, I think!

Today, I'm sharing with you my other love besides quilting...fiddling! This is one of my favourite tunes to play on fiddle, and it's so Canadian!!

Easily one of the most often-requested films in the NFB collection, this lighthearted animated short is based on the song “The Log Driver’s Waltz” by Wade Hemsworth. Kate and Anna McGarrigle sing along to the tale of a young girl who loves to dance and chooses to marry a log driver over his more well-to-do competitors.
