It seems like time just runs along until such moments as this happen upon us. It was just a blink ago that my kidney specialist told me that my winter hikes and camping would have to come to an end… that sounded more like a challenge to me and so my wife and I began to make items that would allow me to continue my passion for the outdoors… that was 15 yrs ago. Today, we have far surpassed the “inventions” for me to not only camp but to perform the very life saving procedures that kept me alive while in a hammock.
But life’s little miracles come with an equal number of realities and though we felt like this trip would run forever, the reality came home to us this week and we will be closing our little shop. The Crafted Woodsman has never been just one of us but a team of two equally amazing parts to a whole and without two there is no Crafted Woodsman.
So we bid you all farewell for now… Janet will garner the strength of friends and family while I begin the biggest adventure of them all. Pack is filled, my hatchet sharp, my hammock prepared and my bearing has been set. Most importantly is this little motto we have shared with our loved ones these past few years… “Buy the shoes, wear the dress, play the music, make plans and show up!”
