Our vintage kitchen hutch reveal is here!
We finally managed to refinish our water damaged
Frankenstein farmhouse hutch after ages of searching for a top unit to match, deciding on a colour. This refreshing hue makes storing my long time thrifted blue and white treasures so cheerfully and is such a happy focal point in our centennial farmhouse kitchen. It was a team effort as we were days away from a friend staying with us and celebrating our little M's 6th birthday dinner and wasn't that going to be the most rainy humid week of the year!? But we pulled through sanding and priming painting and giving existing hardware a little more glam.
Part of what made this unit so successful was that the upper and lower cabinets though from completely different generations and completely different finishes shared a lot of similar characteristics and curves. Now that they have been revived, they look as though they were always meant to be together.
