For the past four months, we’ve been asking everyone who walks through our doors one simple question:

Where are you from?

So many of you stopped, looked into the camera, said “Wachiya,” and told us where you call home.

We’ve been keeping track. Now, we can finally show you.

This is Wachiya From series, a map of every hello. You’ll see each month come to life, then all the months together. Every point leads back to one little shop on Rue Saint-Paul, and to Eeyou Istchee, where so much of the work we share comes from.

Some of you came from just a few blocks away. Others came from the other side of the world.

Different places. Different languages. One word.

Wachiya.

Thank you for saying it. Thank you for visiting us. Most of all, thank you for supporting Cree artists and artisans.

We’ll keep asking.

Come in, say Wachiya, tell us where you’re from, and we’ll add you to the map.

From our land, to your home.
