Top of the day to you. I am AbdurRazaq, Lifestyle Advisor in Abuja, Nigeria. I have a question from a prospect who takes care of cancer patients. Her question verbatim:

Hello AdburRazaq:
Thank you for your e-mail. I hope that I am addressing your name properly. From a corporate standpoint, we cannot state Fountain of Life does anything for cancer patients other than providing them with a high-quality source of lignan antioxidants with anti-inflammatory properties.
Having said that, I can tell you how lignans are impacting cancer patients. Cancer is a very broad subject as there are unfortunately many types of cancers. However, lignans seem to have some impact on hormonal cancers.
Due to the physical shape of lignans, they have the ability to take up estrogen sites on certain organs. This can mitigate the chances of cancerous growth. There are other theories how lignans block the signals to the tumour site which leads to cell death. There are active studies on this right now to determine the mechanism that causes tumour cells to die when lignans are ingested. There is much effort to investigate lignans and cancer.
There are many studies on breast and prostate cancer that are showing promise. There is evidence that lignans improve the chances against colon cancer. There was a 30-year study that discovered that people taking a high lignan diet had a 30% less incidence of heart disease and cancer.
If we consider why there are so many modern diseases, researchers now believe that our diets along with pollution, pesticides and lifestyle choices are opening doors for free radicals that overwhelm our healthy cells and cause damage. We no longer have the same lignan content in our food sources. This is one of the factors that may be addressed with Fountain of Life. It is the ideal natural supplement to replace the lignans that we lose during the processing of our foods. We will have studies on our website for reference.
It is important to know that the conversion of the plant lignan to mammalian lignan in our gut is an important step. For those with compromised intestinal bacteria needed for the conversion of the lignan, FOL should be taken under the tongue.
