Here at the Toronto shop we are tickled pink in showing you a violin by Galen Hartley Galen Hartley , made while he lived in Montreal and worked with Wilder & Davis. An early instrument that displays the abundance of talent Galen already had and maintains.This instrument is both strong in character, capable of a wide amount of nuance as well as having dimensions which are incredibly comfortable to get around in the most tricky passages. Galen has since moved to Bordeaux, France and has quite the impressive artistic life…

New in our Toronto shop, two absolutely stunning and exciting contemporary violins we have the joy of showing to you, inspired by Guarneri Del Gesu. On the right a violin crafted by Mira Gruszow & Gideon Baumblatt Gideon Baumblatt in Berlin, based off of the famous violin Jascha Heifetz and Ferdinand David played, made in an unantiqued style. On the left, a violin by Baptiste Juguera Baptiste Juguera Violin Maker 🇨🇵 of Montpellier, fashioned in a freer flowing interpretation of Del Gesu’s work. Both have dark and present voices, ample amounts of colour and strong cores to assist the violinists palette.
