GIGANTO WEEK TOMORROW, so many new series starting, this post just scratches the surface.

Huge showing from DC, starting with homegrown mini-series SUPERMAN: THE STRANGER by Wes Craig and the rest of his team from Kaya! A retelling of early Superman days set in the 1930s, it's be a wonderfully art-deco take on the Man of Steel. Wes was kind enough to come sign our copies, as a gift to all of you! Don't miss out. We've also got three big name reboots in THE DOOM PATROL #1 penned by the team behind "Little Bird", LEGION OF SUPERHEROES #1 by the team of "Absolute Wonder Woman", and a brand new TEEN TITANS #1 now led by Red Hood! Lastly, a team up you didn't see coming in BATMAN / SUPERMAN / WEIRD AL: WORLDS' WEIRDEST #1.

From Marvel, launching a longer series of manga-influenced oneshots is MARVEL MANGAVERSE: WEB OF BLOOD #1, where Joe Kelly and son Jack Kelly bring together Spidey, Magik, and Laura Kinney. While respectively defending Wakanda and Atlantis from demons, the countries' champions have arrived in Hell to face Doctor Doom, in BLACK PANTHER/NAMOR: DOOMED #1.

In indies, a new lush dystopia barrels at us: from the superstar duo of Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen comes CROWBOUND #1, which promises to be a crossover between "Handmaid's Tale" and "The Road". If you prefer something more comforting and familiar, then try out ARCHIE #1, as Oni Press challenges a mainline new comic for the classic character. The Riverdale you know and love is being rechristened by a couple of Eisner award winners/nominees: writer Ben H Winters, and artist Fabio Moon of "Daytripper" fame!
