Nos noix de Baru proviennent d'un cerrado protégé! Manger des noix provenant d'exploitations familiales, récoltées dans le cerrado sans couper d'arbres, c'est aider le cerrado. Faisons tous partie de la solution contre la déforestation !
D'une superficie stupéfiante de 2 000 000 km2, le Cerrado brésilien est à peu près aussi grand que l'Europe occidentale et constitue un paysage vraiment remarquable. Abritant 5 % de la biodiversité mondiale, ce paysage fournit près de la moitié de l'eau du Brésil, constitue un réservoir de carbone vital et abrite plus de 30 millions de Brésiliens !
Malheureusement, la moitié de la végétation originelle du Cerrado a déjà disparu, principalement au profit des cultures et de l'élevage. La nature restante doit être protégée et les zones agricoles gérées de manière durable afin de permettre la poursuite de la production alimentaire tout en restaurant les pâturages dégradés.

Spanning a staggering 2,000,000km2, The Cerrado, Brazil is roughly the same size as Western Europe and is truly a remarkable landscape. Home to 5% of global biodiveristy, the landscape provides nearly half of Brazil's water, is a vital carbon store, and is home to over 30 million Brazillians!
Unfortunately, half of the Cerrado's original vegetation has already been lost - mainly to crop and cattle farming. The remaining nature must be protected and agricultural areas sustainably managed to allow for the continued production of food at the same time as degraded pastures are restored.
