Welcome to the Masamune Gunpla Studio end of year Competition! We are so excited to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Iron Blooded Orphans, which started airing October 4th 2015, as our contest theme.

As always, to make our competition accessible to everyone, we made sure to keep the builds to the HG 1/144 Iron Blooded Orphan kits. The goal is simple: Build an entry that will wow the judges!! Kitbashing, detailing, and modding are highly encouraged, but the quality and finish of the build is what will get you the win.

The competition starts October 15th and ends on December 31st. We will be revealing judging results on January 8th, 2026.

RULES

Your base kits must be from the HG Iron Blooded Orphan line.
Your entry must be at least 70% from the HG Iron Blooded Orphan series (The IBO option parts definitely count).
3D printed parts and resin parts are admissible on your build.
Detail parts such as photo-etch, thrusters, ect are more than welcomed.
Unlimited entry per participant but only 1 entry can place.
Old builds are welcomed as long as it never placed in any other competition.
Build total size must NOT exceed 40cm (H) x 40cm (W) x 40cm (D).

JUDGING

Craftsmanship: The quality of design, work, and application of it.
Paint: Focusing on the aesthetic qualities, like color choice, application, and intricacy.
Idea: The creativity of the build and the scope of effort.
Point system: Will be evaluated on an X\10 value. 1 being bad, 10 being perfect.

PRIZES

1st: Amazing Cast 1/35 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Head Bust Full Resin Kit
2nd: MG Gundam Barbatos + $50 Masamune Gift Card
3rd: MGSD Gundam Barbatos + $25 Masamune Gift Card

SUBMISSION

All submissions for the competition will be made via email: [email protected] with the Subject “IBO Competition 2025”

This contest is open only to legal residents of Canada who are physically residing in Canada at the time of entry and at the time the prize is awarded.
