Let me tell you why:
🚗 ENERGON UNIVERSE SPECIAL 2026 (ONE SHOT) — CVR A PYE PARR
The Energon line already has a real collector crowd behind it, and this is probably the biggest key on our list. Skybound says it contains the first official glimpse of M.A.S.K. in the Energon Universe, which is exactly the kind of universe-expansion book collectors chase.
⌚ BEN 10 #1 — CVR A ROBERT CAREY
This has that perfect mix of nostalgia and crossover appeal. Ben 10 is one of those properties that reaches comic readers, cartoon fans, and collectors alike.
🛡️ CAPTAIN AMERICA #11 — MAIN COVER
New Hulk team intros, new power structures, fresh directions around bigger events... that’s the stuff that can turn a regular issue into the one everyone suddenly needs after the fact.
🏷️ DOG TAG #1 (OF 6) — CVR A PJ HOLDEN
Not every pick has to be loud to be a good one. Sometimes the play is a strong first issue with a real creative voice behind it, especially when it looks like the kind of book readers will actually talk about once it lands. This feels like one of those “better grab it now than chase it later” indies.
💀 SHE-SPAWN #1 (OF 5) — CVR A IG GUARA
Spawn books have trained the market to pay attention whenever that universe expands, and this one has a lot going for it. New #1, familiar character, big-name writer, and a fanbase that doesn’t need much of an excuse to show up.

Let me tell you why:
🦇 ABSOLUTE BATMAN #19 — CVR A NICK DRAGOTTA
This is a big book: new story arc, first appearance of Absolute Scarecrow, and first cover appearance. The Absolute line has already trained people to pay attention when a major villain shows up, and this is one of those issues.
⚔️ CO**SE KNIGHT #1 (OF 6) — CVR A MATTHEW ROBERTS & RICO RENZI
The storyline sounds super cool, the covers are great, and people coming back from the dead to kick ass is always fire.
🐈 LENORE MUFFIN ELSE MATTER #1 (ONE SHOT) — CVR B KIT WALLIS VAR
With the recent spike in interest in indie series, this is definitely not a sleeper book. This feels less like a hidden gem and more like a book people will wish they hadn’t skipped.
🐉 FIREBORN #1 — CVR A PATRICK MULHOLLAND
Giant-sized debut, new series in the world of Lost Fantasy, dragon egg, hidden magic, outlaws and warlords coming after him… it reads like a fantasy book with enough action and mythology to get readers invested early if the first issue lands.
🕷️ AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #27 — MAIN COVER
Spider-Man bonding with Carnage to become Spider-Carnage is not subtle, not quiet, and the recent sales are proof that this book is hot right now.

Let me tell you why:
🪄 ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #16 2ND PRINTING CVR C MARK BROOKS CARD STOCK VAR
This is the kind of book that can catch people sleeping a little, because it feels like one of those fast-turnaround add-ons that shows up and suddenly everybody realizes they probably should’ve ordered deeper.
🌊 ESTUARY A GHOST STORY #1 (OF 4) — CVR A MAAN HOUSE
Horror has real momentum right now, but this one doesn’t just feel like it’s trying to ride the wave, it actually has its own mood. Haunted mission, buried shipwreck, old sins coming back up with the tide… this feels like the kind of creepy little mini that horror readers fall in love with because the atmosphere is doing a lot of the heavy lifting.
🗡️ MURDER HOBO #1 — CVR A RYAN G BROWNE
Honestly, this one wins points on attitude alone. The title is wild, the premise knows exactly what kind of chaos it wants to be, and Schmalke with Ryan G. Browne gives it that scrappy indie energy where you can absolutely picture people coming back a month later going, “wait… why didn’t I grab that?”
🦋 NECTAR #2 — CVR A CHRIS SHEHAN
We’ve seen smaller books heat up fast lately, and this feels exactly like the kind of issue #2 that benefits when the room realizes issue #1 was hotter than expected.
🔥 FURY OF FIRESTORM #1 (OF 6) — CVR A RAFAEL DE LATORRE
This doesn’t feel like DC just dusting off an old name. Jeff Lemire gives it immediate weight, and DC is clearly treating Firestorm as part of that bigger creator-forward Next Level push.

Let me tell you why:
⚡ ABSOLUTE SUPERMAN #18 — CVR A RAFA SANDOVAL
This one doesn’t feel like a sleeper at all. King Shazam already has the kind of presence that makes collectors pay attention, and with a major new chapter opening in the Absolute Universe, this feels like a book people will be talking about fast.
🧠 BIZARRO YEAR ONE #1 (OF 4) — CVR B FRANK QUITELY CARD STOCK VAR
Kevin Smith on Bizarro already makes this one stand out, but that Frank Quitely cover pushes it even further. Weird concept, recognizable creators, and a cover we absolutely love.
🎹 BATMAN SUPERMAN WORLD’S FINEST #50 — CVR G DAN MORA WEIRD AL YANKOVIC CAMEO
The cameo covers in this run have already shown they can get a lot of attention, and Weird Al feels like another one people are going to want. Add in the fact that this is a milestone issue, and it’s got all the ingredients for a very popular variant.
🕸️🦸 MARVEL/DC: SPIDER-MAN/SUPERMAN #1 — ERIK LARSEN VARIANT
This one celebrates the legacy of the original Marvel/DC crossover, so it’s more than just another #1. Big characters, big nostalgia, and the kind of release that brings in collectors and crossover fans at the same time.
💥 STRENGTH & ASH #1 — CVR A STEFANO CARDOSELLI, FRANCESCA PERILLO
This one has that strong indie-first-issue energy: emotional hook, memorable visuals, and just enough heart and weirdness to separate it from the pack. The kind of #1 that can sneak up on people, then suddenly everybody’s asking for it.
