Does this line art look familiar?

To some of you locals it might, because this is actually the first draft line-work for Tourism Moose Jaws children's book cover: 'If Mac Could Move'! I was so lucky to be a part of Tourism's amazing plan to create a children's book for Moose Jaws one and only mascot, Mac the moose.

This book was created and written entirely in house, by the amazing staff at tourism. While I worked there, I was honoured to design the illustrations according to their amazing ideas, and create an adorable book for Moose-Javians and their children.

You can find 'If Mac Could Move' for sale all over Moose Jaw, including at the Tourism Centre, the Yvette Moore Gallery, the Western Development Museum, and the Tunnels of Moose Jaw.

For the holiday season, I thought I'd bring back a quick throw back photo from one of my times at the TLC Art and Craft Fair.

I always love doing trade shows, but recently due to my job, I unfortunately haven't had the time. Of course, in the future I would love to do more, but each year I always make sure to book off time for Moose Jaw Sidewalk Days.

That being said, the semi-annual TLC Art and Craft Fairs are another event I love participating in. This was a photo of my booth during their one November event that I was lucky enough to attend!

Lucky number 13 is here, and this one really doesn't have any special context behind it. It's simply two well used candles, and one being recently blown out.

For me, candles are a staple when it comes to the occult and witch-y things, so of course I had to include them. Used in altars, and many different kinds of spell work, candles are a must! Not to mention I may or may not have a massive collection of scented candles that I love to burn year round.

Did you know that I love to paint stepping stones?

I swear that I've been painting stepping stones since before I could walk! In the beginning of course, I only painted them for myself, but I've also painted dozens on commission! And on the off chance I can buy them in bulk, I also sell them seasonally, with pre-made designs.

These two butterflies I painted for Moose Jaw Sidewalk Days in July of 2023, and was more than happy to sell them both during the event! All of my stones are sealed for outdoor use and abuse, and work great as decor both indoors and out.

If you've been interested in seeing some of my handmade, all natural products in person, you can find them at Against the Grain Studios in downtown Moose Jaw, as well as the Western Development Museum on the north side of town! Both stores carry a large selection of my products, but if you can't find what you're looking for, feel free to reach out to me directly!

Against The Grain Studios has a beautiful artisan gallery store front, with so many amazing artists and makers its a must see for anyone passing by.

The Western Development museum has a huge gift-shop with everything you need for your next visit to Moose Jaw, filled with treats and trinkets made by local artists and makers.

Here is print number 12! A set of beautiful fallen leaves, complete with loose teeth and berries. There's not much to say about this design, as I was simply trying to evoke the memories of the childlike wonder there was in finding hidden treasures in the leaves and trees of parks and woodlands.

What child didn't spend hours collecting twigs, rocks, bones, berries, feathers, and leaves that caught their eye while in the park or out roaming the neighbourhood.

While I loved university, and enjoyed almost all of my time there, it was still extremely difficult and draining. This funny photo was taken by my close friend during one of these trying times, as I took comfort wrapping myself in a handmade king sized quilt I had made for one of my class projects.

The bright blinding lights, and the cold concrete corridors had gotten to me, and I was ready for bed. As I'm sure most of my classmates would agree, sleep deprivation and fatigue was one of, if not the largest challenge we faced in university.
