So today (Tues, Aug 11) was an interesting day of sorts. Our modem died and I called Sasktel and they said the soonest someone could come out was on the 13th. I said I couldn't wait that long but I guess I dont get to choose when someone comes.

Being without the internet was rough because Im trying to put orders in and I couldn't. And for some reason, when the modem died, it took out the phone and the internet on my personal cell phone. So I couldnt post something saying that our phone and internet was dead.

When we finally looked at our phone, it said we had 8 missed calls. Needless to say, I will call Sasktel in the morning and try and be polite while explaining we didnt have a phone. Not impressed.

For those of you who called, sorry we didnt answer.

I'll be on it in the morning.

A Sunday check-in with everyone.

Part of the order that we got had this collection in it. It's called, "Cardinal Charm".

The panel is 23 1/2" x 42" and the placemats measure 19 1/2" x 12 1/2" each. Or, if you dont want placemats, you can make a pillow. I ended up with half a panel of placemats left over, so I made a pillow with a bag of 12oz polyester fill.

Wouldn't these make a lovely quilt? Speaking of, there is a quilt pattern for this collection and it uses the placemats as the main fabric, but not the panel, but I know many of you are savvy enough to create something gorgeous from the panel.
