I don’t think there’s a lot of people that love to do prep work, but it is necessary and now that my first steps are done. I just have to do one more coat of primer and then I can move on to the magic. I will be Mélange Paints Primeval, which is one of those rich deep colours that you feel you can just melt right into when you look at it. It is a gorgeous black.(formally Jett Black.) and I will post the finish product as soon as it’s done. I’m excited to show you.

Mcm dresser and industrial harvest table now available

This beautiful MCM Dresser Set was sentimental to my client. It belonged to his dad and he wanted to keep it, but with a new look.. so after stripping and staining the top, it got a coat of Sonnet White Mélange Paints (rebranded now as “Paper White”) and a new set of hardware . I want to also mention to those of you who like to stage your pieces you’ll notice with the two pieces that are in the warehouse after I finished how the one dresser looks much more yellow than the other one? They are actually the identical colour and that is why when you do stage pieces, lighting is very important or people will never get the same vision. Thankyou Rob! I hope you will enjoy your family heirloom for many years to come!

I have to admit one of my greatest pleasures is watching the grain show through after you’ve removed paint and stain. This piece was breathtaking and it’s not yet put back together, but I couldn’t wait to show you the top. I’m pretty sure the client’s going to like this one.
