For those coming to Sew Creative , Mount Brydges for the Southwest Crawl event. June 1 to June 13 there is a road closure at the railway overpass near the 402 exit. This starts today June 1st till August 6ish. If you are taking the 402 exit you can take Parkhouse that will take you to the south end of Mount Brydges turn right onto Adelaide Road, go into town , over the tracks my store will be on the right.

If you are coming through Komoka you can take the scenic route by following the detour signs —turn left at the lights which will take you into Delaware, across the Thames river turn right at Adelaide straight into Mount Brydges. OR
A little quicker is to go through the lights in Komoka and turn left onto Parkhouse just after the 402 exits.

What is summer without road closures and construction.

Southwest Quilt Crawl is almost here - Monday, June 1st till Saturday June 13th. Come in and I will show you a technique that you will have 5 different blocks for you to choose to make. The theme this year is Quilts of Valour. You can keep the block to make something for yourself or choose to donate the unfinished 9.5” block back to the store so that I can make quilts for Quilts of Valour. Passports available at the store.

The SOUTHWEST QUILT CRAWL is almost here. Starting June 2-13
This years theme is Quilts of Valour. This organization donates quilts to our Canadian Veterans, providing comfort to our injured Canadian Armed Forces members. I am the rep for the London area for Quilts of Valour. To date we have presented over 22,000 quilts across Canada to our Veterans.

The stores have gotten their customers together to make up blocks and my team who are volunteers for Quilts of Valour have come together to make up the quilts . Here is just two of quilts to be given to a Veteran in this area.
During the Quilt Crawl each store will show a technique for you to use to make a block—maybe even if you like to donate to the cause QUILTS OF VALOUR . The blocks need to be 9.5 x 9.5 unfinished, in our Canadian colours—Red and white. You can drop them off at one of our stores closest to you , who will send them to me at Sew Creative OR drop in anytime to drop them off yourself.
The stores of the SOUTHWEST QUILT CRAWL can not wait to welcome you all back and to see new faces. You can learn a new technique and give back to our Veterans. A win win in my books.
