In a time when grocery store shelves are looking more bare we have decide to open the store this Saturday (9537 hwy 6 between mount forest and Kenilworth) for those looking for local farm raised meats and root vegetables. As we are sure some finances are going to get tight with all the shut downs we are offering a 10% discount on all meat purchases and 15% on all meat purchases over $100. If you're worried about contact we can pre package your order and place it right in your vehicle for you. We will be open between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Feb 28 and the 2018 planting season is under way. It's a little cold, wet and muddy but 100 lbs of garlic seed is now in the ground and ready to grow.

11:30 pm Oct. 26, broadcast planting the 2017 spelt crop and yes that's our first snow fall of the season. Wish the compact had a cab right about now. Watch for our line of naturally grown flours coming soon.

SHARE SHARE SHARE. Do you know this mathematically challenged family? They stopped by this evening at 7 pm for some decorative supplies and produce as follows corn stalks, straw bale, pumpkins, gourds, leeks, squash, tomatoes, and grape tomatoes. Grand total $53 amount deposited in cash box $21 ( $10, $5, $5, $.25 x 4) this fancy new plastic money must confuse them, they did make several trips to the cash box to deposit and look clean. Here's the catch they were our only customers and the cash box was empty when the store closed at 6 pm. It's a shame when the parental example is leading the next generation a stray, they don't have a chance. But let's look at the bright side at least they are doing things together as a family on this holiday weekend even if it is bad math :).

To the young man we posted the picture of yesterday. We would like to say thank you for returning today and settling up, we appreciate this a great deal. We would ask that all those who shared yesterday's post share this one as well because this young man deserves the recognition for doing right.
