Our Yummies in a Jar downtown Baysville location is now OPEN!

We are excited to kick off our 34th year of preparing Yummies and our 13th year of operating our delightful seasonal shop! This year we welcome back Belinda and Lorie to serve you most of the time at the store, together with Tom, Nancy and Martine who will fill in as needed (they generally help me in the Yummies kitchen). Me, I just pop in now and again to enjoy the ambiance of our cute little store, and the smiling faces of my wonderful staff and customers! Below are some pics of me and my staff this spring at the Aspden Wildlife Center (great tour - we'd definitely recommend it) and a day on the lake aboard the Wenonah ll. Sharron, a past employee and long time friend, also joined us. Once a Yummies Gal always a Yummies Gal! I have great staff/friends and it's always a fun day in the store or in the kitchen!

We have lots of new products for you this year including Muskoka themed puzzles designed by Canadian women artists, Canadian Indigenous artwork on beautiful mugs, simply but elegant gold earrings and magical tin lamps and candle covers. New culinary delights include savoury popcorn & pretzels, and melt in your mouth fudge and truffles!

Also, the long awaited supply of smoked trout fillets and pate arrived today - yeah!!! and we will also bring in a few fresh trout fillets a little later in the season. Remember that you can always order these fillets 3 or 4 days in advance to avoid disappointment!

Our downtown hours are currently Friday noon - 4:30, Saturday 11:00 - 4:30 and Sunday 11:00 - 2:00. These hours and days will steadily increase until we are 7 days a week starting the last week of June till Labor Day. Our main Gallery is also open as much as possible though we have had to close a number of times over the past 2 months due to health issues.

We thank you for your support of our business over the many years and we hope you continue to enjoy Yummies as much as we enjoy making them for you.

Canada's leaders take home Yummies in a Jar!

I am thrilled to announce that Yummies in a Jar has been chosen as one of several Muskoka products being presented at this week's 2025 Summer Council of Federation! Prime Minister Mark Carney, Canada's Premiers and our Lieutenant Governor will be presented with some sweet swag during their stay at Deerhurst Resort!

Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Manager, Rory Golden contacted me last week and after careful consideration, 4 varieties of Yummies were chosen: Muskoka Medley, Baysville Berrylicious, Algonquin Sunset and Cranberries with Port W**e! Rory was also instrumental in including Yummies in a Jar at the G8 summit in 2010 - thank you Rory!!

I hope my jams will help sweeten the decisions made at this important 3 day meeting in Huntsville and that everyone enjoys this delicious taste of Muskoka!

Valentine's Day is on Friday and how better to start your special evening with a delicious appetizer from Yummies in a Jar!

For a very limited time, we are excited to offer a new Canadian heart shaped brie style called L’Attrappe Coeur (catch his/her heart!), that is not only delicious, but beautiful! This soft, bloomy rind cheese has a mild aroma of mushroom with a buttery mouth feel.

Pair this unique cheese with Ontario Flat Bread crackers or our "just arrived" Finnish Rye crackers and a jar of Baysville's own Yummies Pepper Jelly for an easy and delicious snack or appetizer! Limited quantities so order today and pick up at our Gallery/Gift Shop.

We also have some Milford Bay smoked Trout pate in our freezer. Defrost in no time and serve with the same delicious crackers!

Our winter hours are Thursday - Sunday from 11:00 am - 5:00.

Please join over 25 vendors at our 1st ever Bracebridge Farmers' Market Christmas Show at the Rotary Club in Bracebridge tomorrow from 10 am - 3 pm. It's a great time to stock up on local Arts & Crafts and Gourmet Food for the holiday season and chat with your favourite vendors! Our Yummies in a Jar Jingleberry Jam is always a highlight as a Stocking Stuffer or tucked into a basket of other Christmas goodies!

This is my last show of the season but our main Gallery will be open 11:00 - 5:00 pm most days throughout December. Our seasonal shop in town is now closed for the season.

It looks like a soggy day but with no snow or ice - it's the perfect day for shopping indoors! Have a great evening and we hope to see you at the show tomorrow! Cheers, Lynn

Happy Mother's Day! We are pleased to open our seasonal store in downtown Baysville today from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm so you can treat Mom to something special tomorrow!

Please stop by and meet Nolan, our wonderful new employee who is enthusiastic, energetic and very personable. He is excited to welcome you into our shop and help you find whatever gourmet delight or Artisan's creation you are looking for.

Nolan has already been working in the kitchen with us this spring and will be in the store several days a week this summer. He also hopes to man my booth occasionally at the Bracebridge and Gravenhurst Farmers' Markets so he'll learn everything there is to know about Yummies!

At the moment, our main Gallery on Highway 117 is open Thursday - Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm or by appointment Monday - Wednesday. Our downtown store will be open over the long weekend on Friday noon - 4pm, Saturday 10 - 5pm and Sunday 10 - 2pm.
