At Windermere Garden Centre, we unite gardening enthusiasts to forge a community of passionate garden lovers dedicated to preserving Muskoka's beauty.

18 Greenhouses growing for Muskoka since 1976. We have 2 locations for you to Shop at 1453 Dee Bank Road Muskoka Lakes and 2932 Muskoka Road 118 West Port Carling. At our garden centres you will find annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, gardening tools, antiques and many unique gift items. We offer landscaping, lawn & garden maintenance and snow removal services.

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving Long Weekend from Windermere Garden Centre! 🍂

As we head into Thanksgiving weekend, we’re feeling especially grateful for the wonderful community that continues to support WGC season after season. Whether you’ve stopped in for plants, tackled a new garden project, joined us at Garden Club, or simply popped by for a visit, thank you for being part of another memorable year with us.

A quick update as we move further into the fall season:

Our Port Carling location will now be closed on Sundays, beginning this weekend, and will also be closed Thanksgiving Monday.

Following the holiday, our Port Carling hours will be:

Monday–Wednesday | 8 AM–5 PM
Thursday–Friday | 8 AM–6 PM
Saturday | 9 AM–5 PM
Sunday | CLOSED

Our social media girl refuses to post a dramatic photo of snow in the first week of October… so this is as close as we’re getting. 😂🍂

But whether we want to think about it yet or not, winter is coming, and it’s much better to have a plan in place before the first big snowfall arrives.

We’re actively booking snow plowing services for the 2026/27 winter season.

If snow removal is still sitting on your fall to-do list, now is a good time to get it sorted so that when the white stuff does eventually arrive, you’re ready for it.

🌷 Spring starts now!

It might feel a little early to be thinking about next year’s garden, but fall is the time to get those spring-blooming bulbs into the ground.

At Windermere Garden Centre Too in Port Carling, you’ll find a beautiful mix of:

Plant them this fall, let them settle in over the colder months, and come spring, you’ll be very glad you did!

A little September sunshine. ☀️

Late summer gardens don’t have to fade quietly.

Coneflowers are fantastic for carrying colour into the latter part of the season, and once those blooms eventually finish, there’s another reason not to be too quick with the garden shears.

Leaving some spent flower heads standing can provide seeds for birds while adding texture and interest to the garden as we head into fall.

Sometimes doing a little less cleanup is actually good gardening. 😉

Today is a great reminder of just how much trees bring to our landscapes, from shade and privacy to habitat, cleaner air and, of course, plenty of natural beauty.

We think the WGC hat suits him, don’t you? 😂🌿

There are always a few characters hanging around the Garden Centre, and this guy was already bringing plenty of personality with those glasses and that expression. All he needed was a WGC hat to complete the look.

Between the plants, garden décor and all the unexpected treasures tucked throughout the shop, you never quite know what might catch your eye when you stop in for a wander.

Although judging by that expression, we’re pretty sure he takes his new WGC affiliation very seriously. 😎
