The Auxiliary has just funded three cautery machines (or electrosurgical unit). This is a medical device that uses controlled heat or high-frequency electrical current to cut tissue, stop bleeding (coagulation), and remove abnormal growths during surgery.

Music Heals! We received this thank you today.
“Thanks to the funding that the Nanaimo Hospital Auxiliary provides to Dufferin Place for music therapy, our Foundation was able to add an additional 95 hours of music therapy through the Music Heals matching program. This additional funding would not have been possible had the initial funding not been supported by the Auxiliary!”
