What an absolutely fabulous event! Thank you Scott Eric Stevenson and DANIEL SMITH: Artists' Materials for the amazing opportunity to learn so much! The ooohs and ahhhhs were plentiful! Thank you to everyone who came and participated. This was very inspiring :)

Today is the DAY! From 1-3:30 DANIEL SMITH: Artists' Materials will be here demo-ing watercolors and gouache. You can also sample the colors so bring a sketchbook, brush, sunhat, cushion or campchair and sunscreen as you can hang out on the balcony or in front of the store and play with the colors. This is an informal event and is free everyone is welcome! We are so excited!

How timely is this? https://danielsmith.com/inventory-registry Daniel Smith now has an Inventory Registry that you create your own account and can track your haves and needs while learning so much great data about each color! I would highly recommend setting up an account and getting acquainted with it before you come to our DANIEL SMITH: Artists' Materials demo on Aug 13th from 1-3:30.

Iron Oxide is open regular hours (10am - 5pm) on BC Day, Monday August 3rd. We've been working hard to restock and we're back up to 120,000 items on the shelves!

We just fully stocked our in preparation for the Free demo happening Aug 13th from 1pm-3:30pm.

Scott Eric Stevenson will be in the store from Daniel Smith.
He will be demoing their paints, answering your questions and you will be able to try their paints yourselves.

This is an informal setting and you may come and go at your leisure.

We are recommending you bring a watercolor sketchbook to get samples of colors you are wanting to try. Or buy a fresh one while you are here. Bring a pillow or even a camp chair to sit out on our deck and PLAY!!!!

Willow will be cutting bouquets from her garden for atmosphere and to inspire your sampling. And you will be able to try the paints then ask more questions and get more samples and rinse and repeat this as many times as you wish while Scott is here.

Parking may be tight this day so we are encouraging you to park at the park and walk over :)

We just received a shipment of postcards for their . These are free when you purchase any Winsor & Newton product and include a postage paid stamp on one for shipping to England to be a part of a show with thousands of artists! And then 14 other postcards for you to play with.

Happy Easter weekend! Iron Oxide will be open with normal hours (10am-5pm) on both Good Friday and Easter Monday for all your creative needs.
