From your favourite jewelry moments to helping you find that perfect piece for your home, our team is what makes Black Barn Co. so special. We’re a little crew with big hearts, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of love for what we do. 🤎

Meet Mikayla, our General Manager!

If you’ve been around Black Barn Co. for a while, chances are you’ve seen me behind the counter! I’m 23, a proud cat mom 🐈‍⬛, and Ashley’s very first hire!

I joined the team right before we opened our Picton location, and it’s been so special watching Black Barn Co. grow from Napanee, to Picton, and now to our newest Kingston location. ✨

When I’m not at the shop, you can probably find me with my bf & our cat, shopping for things I definitely don’t need, or thinking about work anyway 😂

I’m so grateful to have grown alongside Black Barn Co. and to be part of this amazing team. I can’t wait for you all to continue following along with us! 🖤

Meet Sydney, our Operations Manager! 🤍

Sydney has been part of the Black Barn family since August 2025, and has loved every minute of it. Her favourite part of the job is connecting with customers and creating personalized permanent jewelry and engraved pieces that celebrate life’s special moments and tell unique stories.✨

When she’s not working, you’ll find her travelling, camping, swimming, or playing guitar and singing. If you ever need a recommendation, her top Black Barn picks are our unique art prints and Field Kit candles!🕯️

Say hi to Liv, one of the newest members of the Black Barn Co. team! She joined us in April and is so excited to be part of our new Kingston store. 🫶🏼

Originally from Brighton, Liv made the move to Kingston to attend Queen’s University for Concurrent Education — and we’re so happy it brought her to us! 🎀

Meet the Woman Behind Black Barn ✨

Behind the beautiful spaces, carefully curated pieces, and three little storefronts is me — Ashley.

I never set out with some master plan. I just had an idea, a love for beautiful things, and a whole lot of determination. What started as a little online business in 2021 has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of — Black Barn Co.

I’m a wife, stepmom, entrepreneur, correctional officer, and the person who is probably happiest working behind the scenes. 😂

Black Barn has become so much more than a business. It’s a place built around creativity, connection, community, and making life’s little moments feel special.

And while you’ll usually find me behind the scenes rather than in front of the camera… today, you get to meet the face behind the brand. 🖤

Thank you for being here, supporting this crazy little dream, and watching it grow with us. There’s so much more to come. ✨
