Shifts: Part time, two shifts per week.

The Gig:
As a member of the Horse & Snake Vintage team, your mission is clear: spread the vintage love and empower our customers to embrace their true selves through re-used & vintage clothing. Your days will be filled with helping shoppers find their forever pieces of vintage and creating a shopping experience that's as unique as each piece on our racks.

Requirements:
✨Genuine love and passion for vintage, re-used clothing.
✨A warm and friendly attitude that makes everyone feel welcome and valued.
✨Excellent communication skills to engage with customers.
✨A commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive space where everyone feels seen and welcome.

Happy Long Weekend. These babes are making us want to throw on our favourite piece of vintage and frolic through the fields. If a friend ask you to jump on the back of their quad, the answer is always yes!

On this international women’s day it’s important to remind ourselves that if we exclude the most marginalized from our feminism, it’s not feminism at all. It’s just another form of oppression that upholds the patriarchy.

In a climate where our local library is being forced to cancel it’s Drag story time due to threats of violence against the staff and performers, it’s important for us to share our support and be vigilant allies to our trans community.

At Horse & Snake Vintage, our main goal is to empower your authentic self expression! Let’s lead with love and weirdness! Be ourselves and support those whose lives are being threatened for simply existing.

We've had a serious Inception moment over at Horse & Snake.

As you know we are carrying 's Dorothy Collection. A collection of jackets that have been reworked from quilts handmade by Dorothy, with some dating back to the 50's & 70's. Dorothy was a bad ass Prairie girl who despite being widowed 3 times had a resourceful make do and mend attitude.

Here's the record scratch moment. During our photo shoot last week we accidentally styled one of the jackets from Sophie's Dorothy Collection with this rad Australia Harley Shirt that we bought from Nicole - Dorothys Granddaughter!! 🤯 She had bought it for her dad - Dorothy's son on a trip to Aus.

We adore this vintage lovin' community we are building here and getting to know and meet people like life_on_mars_rhodesy makes it all the more sweeter!

Vintage clothing is more than just clothes—it's about the story behind each piece and we love it!

AAAAAND THAT'S A WRAP - we are officially closed at our Vernon Street location! We will miss this cosy little space where it all started but onto the next adventure! 💕

Everything is moved over to 610 Baker Street and we are onto the super exciting, yet mammoth task of organising, setting up and tinkering around in the new space. We are getting very close to being ready to open - keep your eyes on our insta for updates!

Sophia would like every know to know that's her drill and she's jazzed that it's been upgraded from home craft projects to store construction. Bzzzz! 🛠️
