Célia Hayet
Célia started macrame when she was pregnant with her second child 2 years ago. She fell in love with the simplicity of this art and the fact that that with only a few knots there are infinite possibilities to create. She also likes being able to use varied colours and textures for her beautiful creations. Going on a hunt for driftwood is one of her favourite activities to do with her family which gets incorporated into her pieces. She uses nature as a great source of inspiration.

Célia is working towards a website for next year but also plans to keep planted knot as simple as possible to continue freely with her creations.

When Dayna was faced with her own children’s sleep or lack there if she sought out help in many ways. From sound machines, to baby massage and everything in between. When nothing else seemed to be working she sought out help from a sleep consultant. When the results were so effective, she was inspired to learn more so she could help other families with what she struggled with. After her training she started Stork Sleep Consulting, with a customized holistic approach, your child can ease into new routines and eventually do what every parent dreams of, sleeping through the night.

Hey there! We have been so focused on the launch of Localicity that we haven’t done any formal introductions yet!
Here it is! So happy to be apart of our community of entrepreneurs, makers + designers!

Jess + Britt are a team of female entrepeneurs and the founders of Localicity, a curated online marketplace for Canadian designed and made products. The website features numerous locally made items + services, with a commitment to creating a community of like-minded creative folk.

Meet Jess (pictured right)
Jess is one badass entrepreneur. With her experience with working as a mechanical engineer, she is well versed in detail oriented design, that focuses on functionality. Her passion for style + eye for elegance, has led her into many e-commerce based ventures, one including Ecomadix; a sustainable yoga clothing company giving back to the earth one garment at a time. As a huge lover of travelling + being in nature, she believes in creating businesses with a positive impact for our future. Localicity fits into this vision of making the world a better place, by keeping our money in the local economy it benefits other makers + designers to inspire more creativity. Everyone who knows her would describe her as someone who is constantly living life to the fullest. With a vivacious laugh + a down for anything attitude, she reminds you to not take life so seriously + to always make the most of what you’ve got.

Meet Britt (pictured left)
Britt is a Mama, entrepreneur + lover of leaving it better than you found it. Her first love of learning the impact of circularity started with her work with seniors in her community. Nostalgia of the quality of how things used to be made. The idea of bringing new life to things otherwise forgotten inspired many of her ventures, including the creation of Two Arrows Vintage. With her experience in fashion styling, branding, + social media content creation she started working in e-commerce + developed a local directory. This directory synchronistically led her to meet Jess to join their diverse skill sets to create what is now Localicity. Britt loves people + has spent her life lifting the spirits of those around her.

I am beyond excited to say that my favourite coffee company is joining us on Localicity. Living in the Kootenays, I have learned a sense of community that isn’t offered everywhere. The importance of caring where things come from and where they go. An intentional way of living, that benefits all. I feel extremely blessed that this is the norm, where we come from and love when I see this example emulated by local businesses.

Congrats on the new site!

Website is finished!!!

I've been working so hard to get the website finished and now it's time for a breather and a coffee!

At first I wasn't sure if the podcast needed a website but with it I can offer all our podcast guests the option to do a blog post and share their work on another platform. Which I think is important. You can find links to our latest episode and check out our blog.
