We opened the doors of Secret Garden Toys in the spring of 1986 in the heart of the beautiful heritage city of Nelson BC. Our goal is to be here to help you have fun! If you're looking for a baby gift, an afternoon of arts and crafts, or a puzzle for your father-in-law...we have it! 1500 square feet of toys, games, hobbies and puzzles. We’re Hiring!

• Part Time Position: 18 - 24 hours per week. Flexibility for on-call / weekday shifts is an asset. Not just a summer job, must be willing to work until January 2026 with full time in December.

Our team is looking for a customer service superstar. Must have flexible availability, best for someone looking for a longer-term position. If this sounds like you, please come by the store and introduce yourself!

We offer a living wage to all employees. Currently $24.45/hour in Nelson BC. For further details, inquire in person.

Secret Garden Toys opened its doors in the spring of 1986 in the heart of beautiful Nelson, B.C., and we have remained an important part of the downtown for almost 40 years. Many of our staff and customers have been coming here their whole lives and we love it when you share your favourite memories with us!

Job Responsibilities:
• Greet customers in a welcoming manner and provide outstanding customer service
• Serve customers by responding to product inquiries, guiding them through departments, and sharing product knowledge
• Processes payments by totaling purchases and receiving cash, credit and debit cards.
• Assist with inventory, including receiving, pricing and stocking merchandise.
• Assist with merchandising, cleaning and keeping the store organized and beautiful
• Have a positive and energetic attitude with a focus on collaboration with the team.

🎉 We are so grateful to celebrate 40 wonderful years of Secret Garden Toys 🎉

From all of our staff, thank you to our amazing community for your support, kindness, and for being part of our story. It truly means the world to us.

We had so much fun celebrating with all of you, giving out free cake and cupcakes, sharing smiles, soaking up the joy of the day, and listening to hits from the 80’s 🍰🧁 A special thank you to Epiphany Cakes and The Kootenay Co-op for helping make it extra sweet!
