Good morning everyone
Pictou County, all of it's residents, and all of it's businesses have a major opportunity on the horizon in the form of responsible mining development. The 15-Mile Processing Hub project proposed by St. Barbara will be centered just 30 minutes from Stellarton which means we are the closest municipal center to the project.
St. Barbara has already been a great corporate citizen to our community. Whether you are employed in industry or not, this project has the opportunity to support our community.
Even before the company received approval to restart its existing operation in the Musquodobit Valley, they stepped up. For anyone who has taken their kids to the Family Fun Nights at the WM Sobey Indoor Sports Complex, thank St. Barbara for continuing to allow that to happen. For all of us who enjoyed the awesome Westville Canada Day Celebrations Fireworks on Canada Day, thank St. Barbara. For anyone who has benefitted from the tens of thousands MacGregors spends annually in the community on donations and sponsorships, St. Barbara is one of many great supporters of our business that allow us to do that.
If you believe this project can happen in a way that positively benefits Pictou County, please click on the link below and leave even a basic comment of support. There is widespread misunderstanding on environmental impacts and who pays for cleanup that is well shown on some of the comments.
Participating in these engagements is about so much more than any one particular project. It is about taking the NO out of Nova Scotia and creating positive generational impacts for the industrial economy of our Province
