Good morning, everyone.
This is a reminder that is the last open Saturday at The Match Factory for a while.
It may upset some, but really, streets are empty, the foot traffic flow is so minimal, not even the market creates visitor traffic for us. You can always contact me through the site, I am just gonna be more productive at home for bit.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10 to 4, and Thursday 10 to 7, so we still accommodate those that work and our stitch socials continue.
Check out our Woolly Baby section while you visit.
Come and plan your next project with Christine or send me a message. This will help me to restock. I have always been open and truthful to all, and the store needs your help. ⚘️
We will respectfully be closed Wed, Sept 30, to honour Truth and Reconcilliation Day.

So we have stitch social on tap at 5 tonight! Come keep us company. Would love to see faces around the table.

Have to tell you, customer visits are way down, sales have been really low, and the shelves reflect that.

I am introducing more handmade items since I keep hearing, I don't feel like crafting. Baby section is growing first. Always need something for a baby shower...and have cute soaps to add for momma's package!

Come check it out, come and support what you can.

Its not just wool and yarn in there, we have DMC floss, slow stitch items, embroidery accessories and some kits, felting items, of course tools too.

If you are looking to do a project , leave a list of supplies you need, and a pattern name with Christine. I can work on trying to organize an order. Estelle products are just very low in stock.

I have to say I am incredibly excited and hugely grateful that you are watching Facebook and the shenanigans that go on. Your comments are soooo encouraging!

It's been a long hard summer and I am hoping for an incredible fall! Hope you will like the lineup of classes that we will lay out for you. Christine's Tunisian Crochet class looks like its a hit, so thank you!

Update on Miss Claybelt's scarf.

So I opted for a slightly frilly border.
Tried 5 times...
Sc same hook size as joining stitch.
Double strand, 7mm hook, frill.
Single strand, 5mm hook, frill.
3 dc in space between dc, 5mm.
Single strand, 7mm hook, frill.
The finer edge did the trick.
It will easily block out while swaying in the wind.
The frill...1 slip stitch, chain 1, repeat in next stitch. 'Frilly braid' is the best way to describe it.
