One of the scariest things I’ve ever done was decide to homeschool. Like a keep me up at night for months, back and forth daily, type of indecision. I felt a quiet nudge to try something different for our family and that voice kept getting louder and louder until I couldn’t ignore it anymore.

We’re only 6 months into this new homeschool journey but already the time, learning, bonding and experiences we have gained as a family have far outweighed the sacrifices it’s taking to make this happen.

Just a reminder for anyone who needs it- scary doesn’t necessarily = wrong.

Different doesn’t necessarily = wrong.

It’s hard to go against what culture is pushing everywhere and the only model you’ve ever known for learning. I know that homeschooling isn’t for everyone and this isn’t my attempt to sway anyone towards making that decision. I’m just reflecting on how much I would have lost if I didn’t make the scary decision to give it a try— and that if I can be that “nudge” for someone else that they need — I’d be thrilled.

The value of a book that sparks curiosity, creativity and passion in kids is truly priceless. 🧑‍🍳✨

We just got our hands on this advanced copy of ‘s kids cook book and this whole week my kids have planned, prepped and cooked almost every meal! They have learnt so much, grown in their confidence in the kitchen and had SO much quality time as a family in the kitchen!

… now to teach them to be just as excited about doing the dishes afterwards! 😅😜

The right book makes its SO easy and fun to learn 💕 I have LOVED how engaging this flap book has been for my 8-year-old while learning a commonly “not-so-fun” topic. It has linked so effortlessly to the homeschool curriculum we are using for language and is perfect for both introducing a new topic and also solidifying understanding.

It’s a 10/10 would recommend from me! 👌🏻
