Thank you friends for your thoughts and kind words.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our good friend, Chris Lyth, last night.

Chris and his wonderful wife, Nadine, owners of The Shore Cannabiz Shop, have been valued members of our North Shore business community. Chris was truly one of the kindest people you could meet—always generous, caring, and willing to lend a helping hand. He touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed.

Our hearts go out to my dear friend Nadine, their family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing Chris during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Chris. You were taken far too soon, but your kindness and the positive impact you made on our community will never be forgotten. ❤️

In the summer of 2018, The Shore Cannabiz Shop was still an idea being talked through around a kitchen table.

Chris and Nadine were nearing retirement and thinking about opening a small business together. That small idea soon became a much bigger project as cannabis legalization opened the door to a completely new kind of retail store in Kamloops.

The application and licensing process was long. There were late nights spent researching, planning and working through questions no local cannabis retailer had answered before. Then came construction inside the old Strauss Herbs garlic grind building on Tranquille Road, followed by hiring, training and preparing for opening day.

When The Shore finally opened its doors, it became the first cannabis store to open in Kamloops.

We are proud to have been there at the beginning and grateful to everyone who has supported this little Tranquille Road shop over the years.
