With easy-to-follow, step-by-step instruction, Shanna creates a supportive and encouraging environment where every child can build confidence, learn new painting techniques, and express their imagination—regardless of their artistic experience.

Today is my last day at Brentwood Bay Village Empourium, and it feels a little bittersweet to write those words...

Sometimes you don’t realize just how much you needed a certain chapter until you’re standing at the end of it.

My time here, surrounded by the wonderful vibe and rhythm of café life, has been a little bit magical. ☕️

It gave me a place to land, to connect, to laugh, to work hard, and—somewhere along the way—to find the energy and courage to start dreaming bigger again.

I’ve met people here who I’ve genuinely grown to care about, and so many incredible customers who became familiar faces I looked forward to seeing. Those little conversations, laughs, stories and connections have meant more to me than you probably know.

This chapter was exactly what my little soul needed, exactly when I needed it. ❤️

And now, somehow, the dream I’ve been quietly working toward is becoming real.

So today I’m tying a big, beautiful bow around this chapter—with a whole lot of gratitude—and stepping into the next one. A chapter that feels scary, exciting, surreal and incredibly me.

Here’s to the places that help us grow, the people we meet along the way, and having the courage to keep creating a life that feels like your own.

Thank you, Empourium and everyone who is a part of it. I’ll carry a little piece of this place with me. 🤍

There have been a few moments lately where I've had to stop and just... take it all in.....

For so long, Art Soul Studio was just a dream. A little idea that lived in notebooks, conversations, late-night planning sessions, and countless "what ifs."

Now, I'm only days away from getting the keys to a space I can finally call my own.

It's surreal.

I'm incredibly proud of myself—not because it's been easy, but because it definitely hasn't. There have been tough days, family setbacks, financial struggles, moments of doubt, and times when this dream felt much farther away than it does today. But I kept going, one small step at a time.

Looking back, I realize this dream was never built by one person alone.

To every person who encouraged me, shared advice, listened when I needed to talk, cheered me on, believed in me when I questioned myself, or simply reminded me to keep going... thank you. I truly wouldn't be here without you.

In just a short time, this won't just be my dream anymore—it will become our creative community space. A place to create, connect, learn something new, support local artists, and make memories together.

Here's to dreams that refuse to stay dreams. ❤️
I can't wait to open the doors and welcome you all into Art Soul Studio.
