Today, we pause to remember the children who never returned home, honour Survivors of residential schools, and recognize the lasting impact these institutions continue to have on Indigenous communities.

As an organization committed to building a stronger, more inclusive community, the Bronte BIA recognizes this day as an opportunity to reflect, learn from Indigenous voices and honour the resilience and strength of Indigenous Peoples.

We encourage our community to take time today to reflect on the ongoing journey of reconciliation and consider how we can each contribute to a more inclusive future.

Ready to clear out some clutter - and maybe discover a few treasures while you’re at it?

remarketoakville is coming to Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park on September 19 from 9AM-2PM for Oakville’s first-ever REmarket!

Inspired by REmarket at Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market, this FREE event is all about finding new life for the things we no longer need.

✨ REuse what you already have
♻️ REcycle what can’t go in the blue box
💡 REthink what we buy, use and throw away

Bring along usable items you no longer need and visit the FreeMarket, where you can give something away or find something new - completely FREE.

There will also be opportunities to responsibly recycle some of those harder-to-recycle items through participating organizations, including Vitacore, TerraCycle, The Salvation Army, Plastic Flux, Canada Iron & Metal Co., Staples and Renewed Computer Technologies (RCT).

So gather up the good stuff, bring what you can, and come see what you might discover. One person’s clutter could be another person’s treasure!

Join us at Bronte Market Square from 6:30-10PM for an evening of live music, an incredible DJ, social dancing, and a dance lesson to get everyone moving - whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never danced a step before!

And a very special thank you to the beautiful people pictured here, Jesse & Tiana, who have worked all summer long to bring this special event to Bronte Village. ❤️

Melanie set out to create the kind of pet store she’d been searching for - a place that’s about so much more than shopping. Her vision is to create a welcoming space where pet parents can connect, learn and discover ways to bring fresh, whole, nutrient-dense and minimally processed, human-grade ingredients into their pets’ bowls.

And there’s plenty of fun planned, too! Think photoshoots, watercolour painting events and more - all designed to bring pet lovers together. 🐾
