Wow! HAYBANK has grown by 60 members since we launched the day before yesterday! THANK YOU and WELCOME to our new members!
We're certainly making the gougers and hay flippers angry on some media pages but that was expected.
We are so happy to provide a win-win situation that suits both buyers and sellers.
**If you're thinking of becoming a member, don't forget we're having a draw for our first 100 members to be entered to win a semi load of horse quality hay!! Only 40 more spots available! 🏆🎉
Now to clear the air of some of the negative comments that have come to our attention;
1. We do not and never would 'undercut' producers. We put our producers on a pedestal and your membership dollars is what enables us to pay competitive prices and give producers peace of mind by buying their entire crops before they're baled at a fair price according to quality. Quality that is decided by a guaranteed hay analysis. We have producers asking us for contracts because we have a reputation for being fair and giving producers bankable options.
2. Our membership fee is too expensive.
Your membership fee pays for itself with your first load if you buy more than 10 bales a year. It's in the math. Compare a load of $200 bales to a load of $110 bales of the same or better quality. We can't provide this service without the member dollars or we could never afford to give the producer a fair price and pass the savings onto you. More accessible and affordable hay means a more sustainable livestock and forage industry by helping to regulate it and eliminate the flippers and gougers. Sky high prices hurts the entire industry.
3. Some naysayers are accusing us of running a scam.
This one is funny. We have a money back guarantee, all transactions are online through our secure and highly traceable check out system, we have put our personal names and reputations on the line, and we have worked for 2.5 years since we created HAYLIST to find a viable solution to bringing in affordable hay during times of low yields and high prices. Your membership dollars act as a type of cooperative to be able to get the hay here and have it shipped to you locally instead of 2000-3000 km away, which makes it cost prohibitive otherwise.
4. 'I can find horse hay cheaper than $110/bale' If you have access to good hay at a great price, then we agree HAYBANK is probably not going to benefit you. Our business model is based on helping people in low yield/low supply areas have access to affordable hay when hay prices skyrocket.
We take the worry out of actually getting the hay you ordered or being a victim of the ongoing scams that take your money sight unseen as a deposit and never hearing from the 'seller' again with our secure and traceable online payment systems. We're also helping producers by not having to worry about actually getting paid for their product.
5. Where's the cattle hay?
We have downgraded horse hay continually and other feed options such as green oats, barley and pea straw. If it's not listed, call to see what we have downgraded. We are full disclosure about all our feed. Good or bad.
It's a win-win for seller and buyer and we are more than happy to dispel any myths and answer any and all questions you may have.
