The Bee's Style

The Bee's Style My name is Brett and I love to share my daily style in apparel, beauty and home decor. I'm always on For now; thank you for following my page!

I love to photograph my lifestyle; where you will often times see my main man Riggsy! He is my golden boy and really just does not like to leave my side. If I am updating my stories with some new item's for purchase or an , he is right behind me. I am currently living in Red Deer with my husband Ryan and our pup Riggs; I love to shop and find the best bargains in woman's fashion and home deco

r. I always wanted something more than just sharing my outfits of choice, so I finally jumped the gun this October and brought in my own collection of woman's clothing to purchase. For now; I post images of the items and how they fit on my stories and newsfeed - you just simply DM me for purchase...and yes I ship across Canada. I am looking to offer in-house shopping parties in the Red Deer area once my collection gets big enough. You and your girlfriends can get together in your home and sip some w**e and enjoy some shopping and make an afternoon or evening of it! Eventually I'd love to launch an online boutique in the next year; where you can purchase my most recent finds in fashion and decor.

Okay! I absolutely loved the look of these. 🤍 I own the original Firebird Pant in black and wear them ALL the time, so I was really excited to try the Barrel version!

And not saying these won’t be a good fit for you, but there were a couple reasons I decided to return them:

1. Big b***y girls - take note! 🍑
The length from the crotch to the waistband felt really short on me. I’m definitely more of a mid-to-high-rise girl and these sat on the lower side of a mid-rise for me. With my shape I just knew they were going to give me major wedgie/camel toe vibes and be uncomfortable when sitting down. 😂

So if you’re more of a mid-rise girly and you don’t usually have an issue getting your b***y into pants, these could be SO good on you. They are seriously dang cute!

2. The material
They felt slightly heavier to me than the original Firebird Pant. Not necessarily a bad thing just something I noticed because I love the lighter feel of the originals. I’m wondering maybe if it was because they sat lower and the urge to pull them up an inch!

I still LOVE the whole sporty-chic vibe of these. A track pant or wide-leg pant is such a fun way to switch things up from jeans and you can style them so many ways. I love them with a collared shirt and ballet flats for work - then add some jewelry, unbutton the shirt and throw on some heels for going out after work. Super easy transition👌🏼

So while these ones weren’t the pants for me - they might be perfect for you. If you’ve been eyeing them - I recently got accepted as a SHOPMY influencer account so I will share a link, more links to come! ❤️ Thanks again for following along, the fashion shares often get left behind my daily parenting struggles and tips 😂 Hopefully you’re fine with it all as my life transitions as my kids grow!

My next project - I’ve had some inquiries about wear to get jeans that are long enough! So I plan on sharing that in the next few weeks, but to be honest we are in a fashion era where most jean length is fine to be ankle length or full length! So we’ve got some room to work with! Stay tuned and happy first week of school!

Hello 👋 My name is Brett and I am a 40 year old mom of 2, living in the small town of Olds in Alberta 🇨🇦 I work full time for a medical company which involves some travel and run a small kids clothing company with my sister!

I love to share my outfits of the day but lately with the kids it seems like I don’t post much, I’m always documenting but by the time bed time rolls in, my creative brain is done! 🤷🏽‍♀️ So here is a photo dump for some outfit inspiration.

I would describe my wardrobe as sporty chic, with a bit of basic and every opportunity to dress up - I will. Wearing a hat is usually a must because my son loves to be carried and loves to grab my hair. I also love a good piece of jewelry - Jenny Bird is my new fav!

My content lately includes all the parenting struggles, and the parenting wins. I will never gate keep a good sale whether it comes to clothing for myself or my kids or a home decor item. And I will always share a haul at Costco when so visit.

I mostly shop online and always scour marketplace first! This last half of the year I have been trying to shop within local stores rather than using the convenience of Amazon, but lately convenience has been winning 🤷🏽‍♀️🤭 If I’m heading to the stores - you bet I’ll be sharing some try-ons mostly to save you the time and I just honestly enjoy browsing!

My favourite me time is usually either peace and quiet watching a j***y reality tv series or heading to the city to check out what’s happening in stores! My partner and I also love a good date night at a new restaurant or a staycation with the kids!

I often share good recipes, cause we love to cook over here! And I try to share most of our adventures with the kids! So welcome to my Instagram page ❤️ I just joined SHOPMY so I can now share some links that make it worth sharing the content! I mostly share because I love too, and I will always be honest with my reviews!!

Thanks for following along! Some links of my items will be shared but let me know if you are wanting links to anything! ✨

Drunk on Melissa…I mean Cathie and a little bit of Trouble 🍻🤍

Celebrating our girl in probably the best Cathie Single Tour Way with two different groups of friends! The pedal bikes, brewery stops, and singing making sure Cathie is drunk and still fine and of course making sure these two groups are mingling; was the best idea🚲✨

Such a fun stagette idea or just a reason to get some friends together, the perfect day with the best crew 🫶

Target Haul! I did not even hit up the women’s clothing but we got some treats for the kids, some treats for ourselves and some cute Spiderman stuff! We like to think lots of this stuff isn’t available in 🇨🇦 and that’s why we brought it home to try!

Happy Thursday!

The Costco Haul you’ve all been waiting for!
Went to my least fav Costco location - Crossiron!
The truth is - everyone has their fav Costco location. It being the one you know where everything is, which way the cart traffic runs, and you can make a quick trip if you need too - mines Red Deer! My home base for 7 years but Calgary is more convenient at times!

Annual family staycation unlocked!

We just made West Edmonton Mall a yearly tradition—and honestly, it’s one of those trips that proves you don’t have to go far to make core memories 🤍

Last year we got a theme room - our daughter still talks about her Fantasyland firetruck room + waterpark day. It’s the reminder I always need that these are the moments they remember.

This year we did it a little smarter 👇🏼

• Booked directly through Fantasyland Hotel — paid ~$300 for a bunk bed room + got 40% off 4 passes to World Waterpark or Galaxyland
• Skipped the theme room = saved ~$250
• Packed a cooler (yes, you can bring one 👀) → snacks + drinks = saved easily $100+
• Stroller/wagon friendly = made it SO much easier with little kids
• Tip: bring a winged life jacket for toddlers (the kiddie area is deeper than you’d think!)

We did 5 hours at the waterpark, let the kids burn all their energy, then walked over to Old Spaghetti Factory for supper
→ ~$75 fed all 4 of us with drinks 🙌🏼

Mom tip:
If you’re going with a group, book dinner reservations weeks in advance or get your name on the list early (like 4:00 so your sitting by 5/5:30)

We’re already planning to go back in November—bringing grandma + grandpa so we can sneak in a little Christmas shopping and support in-store over online this year 🎄

Because sometimes the best memories are just a couple hours away ❤️ Hope you enjoyed Part 1!

If you get a chance to do a weekend in Banff with good company - definately don’t bring your younger children and please keep your pets at home!

Skijoring 101:
Go down early if you can and get a spot on a patio - Canadian Brewhouse and the 2nd floor of the park probably would have been great options for watching from inside. Make a reservation for 30 mins before the event starts. You’re guaranteed to stay warm!

If you want to do th cold weather - renting a fur coat from in Red Deer was the best thing we did. These fur coats block the wind, keep your entire body warm - go for a full length coat, and keep the warmth inside your coat.

Don’t forget warm footwear - wool socks under cowboy boots might be okay but the cold from the rocks and cement your standing on while watching the show really try to get those feet cold. If you have insulated, winter footwear - wear em!

Prepare for some standing and lots of people. The street was packed. We took the bus down from tunnel mountain. Most of the hotels have a free transit bus ticket while you stay. Great option to get down and back and not have to worry about parking. And with the road closure it made life way easier. Plan to head to the event at least 1-2 hours before it starts. You might not get on your first bus pick up cuz it was so packed.

Bring mitts and wear warm headwear especially if it’s windy that day. The sun was shining and it was beautiful but the wind was trying its best to keep us cold.

We honestly were happy watching the first 30 minutes and don’t know if we will do it every year but definitely worth doing for the experience. The horses are beautiful, the people watching is amazing and the athletes hit some pretty cool jumps on their skis and snowboards.

We scored the best seat in the house. Hopped on a big rock along the street line right in front of the and had a clear view of three different jumps/rails!

If you plan to after party into the evening - prepare for a line up! is always fun for dancing an live music. Or Tommy’s seemed to be where the locals hang out and have drinks and play darts! 🫶🏽✌️🐎🐴🤠

What a year! Highlights; Palm Springs for our first family of 4 trip, Fairmont with Trevor’s family, and Mexico with both our families that hopefully becomes a yearly thing 👌🏾

The last few months however have been pretty heavy. Divorce, disappointment and healing from things I never thought I’d have to heal from. Feeling a loss of a coparenting dynamic that I always thought would be friendly, respectful and something Thia wouldn’t even be phased by! There’s still hope but for now that chapter is closed.

But moments like this with my kids saved me. They ground me and they remind me who I am. I’ve learned that joy is not something you wait for; it’s something you choose, especially in hard seasons. These moments heal me. Seeing my kids happy - they soothe my soul.

A friend once taught me: when life feels heavy, do three things that bring you joy. In 2026, I will be doing more of this. More presence. More joy. More moments that bring me back to myself. This is something I need to do more of in 2026!

🤍 Happy New Year
