Hello Friends-
I want to let you know i am closed friday afternoon this week, i will be open saturday .
My guy is taking me to nelson to pick up some exciting goodies for the Lair.
The summer smoke and closures in the hills prevented us from harvesting some of our favourite wild things so it was exciting to meet a friend in nelson that has all the items on my wish list.
my sis corinne and i have been busy bees, ice dyeing , fabric stamping , always learning .
Those beautiful wooden spools are now available, made of old reclaimed wood, i would like to keep them all but “i am not a hoarder”🤣
The tallow balms are re stocked and i’ll be offering some new fun things next week after we come home with our treasures .

I have three of my favourite oils brewing , love these harvest days , replenishing last years oils is rewarding. and one of my favourite tasks.
i am continually unpacking treasures for my gang of stitchers , yes the drawers are full.
new tallow soaps are ready for labeling , shampoo bars soon.
I am working on a few new tallow balms , hoping they will be available for this long week end .
happy long week end friends, we will be home manning the store and the pool so come on out.

Good morning friends:
We are open Sunday this week end but closed saturday.
We are off adventuring , watching our kids play ball, some foraging , treasure hunting and just a day together.
The hot summer days literally drain me, i don’t do well in the heat at all. I’m hoping for some stops along the river to replenish today.
This time of year I make a lot of the oils We use , it’s a process and I literally love watching all the colours come alive , so yes, new oils, old favourites and new blends all lined up.
work in the antique linen/fabric/ bric a brac room continues , un packing is a treasure hunt of its own.
I hope taking a personal day today doesn’t topple anyone’s plans to visit, make sure to stop by sunday if you need anything or want to say hello💕

Hello Friends
i have been neglecting posting, I know but I have a very good reason.
Saturday is the day our son and his beautiful Alyssa say “I Do”.
Life has been incredibly busy in all the best ways.
I have made sure the shelves are full in my little world as well as making sure the herbs are being harvested .
We are taking this long week end off to celebrate with them.
life at the lair will return to normal on Tuesday.
I will post photos , i promise ♥️until then, big love to all and celebrate family and love , we certainly are.

we have not posted as often as I should so i’m getting right on that. Life has been buzzing at a rapid pace around our blessed space, see I have even been writing a bit so note the rhyme😉
The tallow products are continuing to be so popular , Fresh batches are constant . I have also challenged myself to sort the trunks and trunks of antique linens, fabrics ect . The result is a great selection for mixed media artists, junque journals of course my new friends, the “slow stitchers”.i love every piece of antique fabric, floss, lace that I have collected but it’s time to share♥️these two antique sewing baskets are my greatest treasures, both from norway. one belonged to my gramma, the other gifted to me on moms and my first trip over from sweet Anna Bakken.Do any of you have and treasured things that you use daily?

Something new, Yule fire cups!! These are best stored in an open basket to enjoy them and their scent until you make a fire. The ingredients are pure magic, rowan berries, devils club powder, cinnamon sticks, tamarack tips , pine sap! i am cutting and wrapping delicious soaps , detox salts and sugar scrubs are re stocked . The lair smells like the holidays!
