Thanks to some incredible volunteers, the 2023 holiday packages are ready for delivery! We once again get to provide every single patient in hospital a little treat to make the holiday feel a little less lonely.

No better way to share our exciting news!

It’s giving Tuesday and in 2024, we are going to be providing BC Children’s Hospital with ‘Admit Kits’.

If you are unexpectedly admitted to hospital (or transferred) with your ill / injured child, our admit kits will provide you the basics you need to help you and your child through the tough days.

We have BIG dreams and hope to expand these efforts in the future! You can support us by donating on our website!

That’s a wrap 2023 Miracle on Okanagan Gala! What an incredibly beautiful night filled with so much love. Thank you to all of our incredible guests, silent auction donors, financial sponsors, the best co-MC Ryan Graham and all who offered a helping hand.

🔆 I want to start by thanking our incredible host - Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos. The food was outstanding! We were also lucky enough to be joined by the incredible leadership team! Spirit Ridge Resort

Not pictured: a mom struggling alone to survive herself let alone care for a critically ill child

Whenever I hear about someone with an extended stay in the hospital, I feel triggered.

I have a close family member who is currently fighting cancer and staying at the hospital. I was chatting with someone who was recently visiting them and they were sharing how the patient was ready to check out, even though they desperately need the nursing and care.

Being is the hospital is HARD. It’s cold, it’s sleepless, it’s lonely - all of that aside from being ill or seeing someone you love ill.

When you head in to the hospital physically unwell and leave mentally unwell - it just doesn’t feel right.

Mental health matters. I will forever advocate for mental health and caring for those in a facility setting. We need to step up for our community regardless of who or why we are in a care facility.

Hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, support housing - we can do better! No one deserves to feel lonely in a life filled with people!

2. We are just about ready to finalize board selections and kick-off our initial meetings (stayed tuned for an introduction to a few new incredible people)
