Vintage Butcher’s Block

A proper old-school butcher’s block with a beautifully worn, dished work surface from years of actual use. Solid, extremely heavy, and built during an era when apparently furniture was expected to survive several generations and possibly a small war.

The wear and knife marks on the top are all part of its history, and it would make a fantastic kitchen island, prep table, side table, or display piece.

Handmade Marge Carson-Style Elephant Bar Table + Stool

This is one of the strangest pieces of furniture currently taking up space in my shop, and that is really saying something 😂

Handmade elephant bar/table inspired by the fabulous Marge Carson elephant bar carts of the 1980s. The original versions are highly collectible designer pieces that sell for thousands of dollars. This one is a handmade replica, but still an extremely cool statement piece.

Comes with the inset glass top, built-in metal ice bucket, brass-tone rails and one matching elephant-foot bar stool.

Fair warning: this thing is HEAVY. It appears to be proportionally weighted to an actual elephant of this size. Please bring a strong friend and an appropriate vehicle because I would very much like it to become your problem instead of mine.

Vintage Danish Troll / Gnome Doll
c. 1960's

This creepy little bastard has been smiling like this since the 1960s.

Originally made in Denmark, he is adorned with his original felt clothing, and bright blue (dead) eyes. His attire is giving 'woodland whimsy', but his face is giving 'unsolved disappearance'. I don’t know what his intentions are, but I’m comfortable assuming they’re malicious.

Oh, and no (absolutely NO) returns ❌🙅‍♀️

Emu Egg Shell 🥚

Emu eggs are dark green (almost black) in color, and are the third largest egg of any living bird!

Female emus lay eggs once per breeding season, typically in winter, and then the male emu incubates them alone for 54 to 56 days without leaving the nest. For nearly two months, he barely eats or drinks while he guards the nest. Then he sticks around to raise the chicks.

Deadbeat dads simply do not exist in the emu economy.

Vintage Hudson’s Bay Company Royal Charter Rye Whisky Bottles

A little piece of Hudson’s Bay history that has nothing to do with blankets! Hudson’s Bay Company was once heavily involved in the liquor trade and even had its own line of spirits, including rye, scotch, rum, brandy and gin.

These stoneware bottles held Royal Charter 12 Year Old Rye Whisky, bottled by Hudson’s Bay Distillers Limited in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Examples of Royal Charter in these ceramic bottles date to at least the 1970s, and HBC remained in the spirits business until Hudson’s Bay Distillers was sold to Seagram’s in 1987.

These ones are empty, but still have their original wooden-topped closures, and make a cool bit of Canadiana/barware history.
