Mystic Monday — The Runes ✨
For centuries, runes have carried an air of mystery. But they’re much more than beautiful symbols carved into stone. 🌿
The best-known rune system is the Elder Futhark, an ancient Germanic alphabet made up of 24 runes. Each rune has a name, sound and traditional meaning, and over time runes have also become widely used as tools for divination, reflection and intuitive guidance. 🔮
Rune casting can be as simple or as detailed as you choose.
✨ Take a moment to centre yourself and set your intention.
🌿 Ask a question — open-ended questions can give you more to reflect upon.
🪨 Draw one rune from your bag, choose several, or cast a group onto a cloth.
🔮 Consider the traditional meaning of each rune, its position and how the symbols relate to one another.
💫 And finally, notice what the message means to you.
If you're just beginning, try a single-rune draw. Ask:
“What energy should I be aware of today?”
Choose one rune, look at its meaning and spend a little time considering how it may relate to what is happening in your life.
Just like Tarot or a pendulum, runes don't have to be about predicting the future. They can be a wonderful way to pause, reflect and connect with your own intuition.
