HELPING WAYSIDE TO HELP OTHERS TO HELP OTHERS First, a big thank you for those who responded to our appeal for children and teen book donations to replenish our stocks after a busy July. We are immediately investing the funds raised by book and art sales into financially supporting Desert Sun Counselling as they quickly created a program to host fire evacuees over a meal—so that the folks can talk about their recent traumatic experience, share needs, etc. Check with Desert Sun about time and location. And please continue to patronize Wayside Select Books & Art, 8317 Main St, Osoyoos as we do our small part for the town and region. Our charitable society, Wayside Community Support, can also receive (and receipt) cash donations.

Wayside Select Books & Art is delighted to host the return visit of Debra Ceravolo, astrophotographer from nearby Anarchist Mountain. The show “Earth & Sky: Adventures in Photography” will feature her stunning shots of space, as well as more earthbound images. The opening reception at the town’s famous ArtWalk will be Fri, Aug 7, 4-7 pm. 8317 Main St, Osoyoos.
