Earlier this week I went to tune a customers piano and enjoyed a moment of nostalgia. This particular instrument was the very first piano we acquired in July 2023 for reconditioning and resale. Each of the pianos that pass through my shop are treated with the utmost care and seeing them years later being loved and enjoyed in a family home makes the challenges of this work all the more worthwhile.

Recently we received a Taylor guitar in with multiple dryness related body cracks and a torn off bridge. With a little work we able to rescue this beloved instrument from a premature end, also reconditioning the neck for good measure. It came up beautifully and the owner was over the moon.

A fun creative project from a few years back. Some simple, original music set to springtime photographs beautifully shot by Fangliang Xu. Best heard with headphones.

Memories from the first annual Piano Garage Band, celebrating Piano Day 2026 (March 29) at the Esmonde White Piano Shop. The Esmonde White upright piano action was put to the test by many virtuosic performers that would otherwise require a grand piano action for repetition speed and dynamic range. 100% success! A beautiful experience all around.
