Considering the traumatic events that unfolded at former Residential Schools, Shawna Boulette Grapentine created 'Always in Our Hearts' out of reverence to those grieving. The children who are shown holding hands, were torn apart from each other but are now reunited as they make their way home.

Event 1- A Sneak Peek of the Pfaff Creative Icon 3: Join Claire as she gives you an exclusive sneak peek of the new Pfaff Creative Icon 3, highlighting its exciting new features through a live presentation and demonstrations. 👀 Whether you already have an embroidery machine or are interested in checking out what the Icon is all about, this machine is sure to knock your socks off! 🤯

Event 2 - Quilting with Creativate: Discover the endless possibilities and take a tour of the entire Creativate system with Claire. She'll walk you through creating your own design from scratch, or taking a premade design and customizing it to make it your own. From the free quilt design software module to embroidering a label, Creativate helps you every step of the way! 🤩

It's finally time to announce the grand prize winner of the challenge! Nearly 50 projects were completed since we opened the challenge in June and we can breathe a huge sigh of relief knowing that there are fewer UFOs hiding in sewing rooms and fabric bins everywhere.👽

The winner of this fabulous prize, valued at $300 and including our favourite new notions, handy storage containers, and a QP gift card, is Elise Gagnier! 🥳

Keep an eye out for those ever-multiplying UFOs - the challenge will return next year to continue our investigation and vanquish these UFOs once and for all (or at least for a month or two)! 😉

Here's another finish from the challenge to tide you over before our grand prize announcement! 😁

Cathy's Log Cabin quilt is made using blocks from a block exchange. A fabulous floral border ties it all together, and smaller log cabin blocks anchor the corners. Beautifully done, Cathy! 😍

We were really on the ball posting photos after marking them complete in the challenge (and our apologies to their creators for all the late posts)! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Cathy created this fabulous Green Picnic quilt using a Jolly Bar precut. Half-square triangles create a variety of blocks with the top, and corner accents in the same fabrics add the perfect finishing touch without taking away from the center star. Awesome work, Cathy! 🌟

In all the excitement of launching the challenge we missed posting a finished quilt! 😱

Barb's Murano quilt is a fabulous example of showing off a variety of "busy" fabrics in reds, oranges, and blues, all in one top. 😍 A pieced border in the same fabrics extends the blocks to the edges, and quilting done by Elke at Aloha Quilting is the cherry on top! Excellent work, Barb! 🥳
